Real life

Did anyone told you that getting into University would be the greatest achievement of your life? Those endless tuitions you had to go to when you were in school, the whipping of canes, the scolding you had to endure, the 'specific computer' time given to you everyday. IT will all be worth it one day they say! Get into a good uni and everyone will wanna employ you!

Did anyone told you that when University ends, you would feel kinda lost in life, not knowing what to do next?
Yeah sure, there's plenty of job choices out there, different industries you can try out, different work life you can choose from. You've worked so hard all your life, through school to university. Achieving your first goal (Getting into uni) was a great deal, but what now?

Engineering - you say.
There's so many types of jobs you can choose from - technical, corporate, upstream, downstream. These words make my head dizzy.

How about the jobs not related to engineering?
Not like they shut their doors on you. Business, finance, food sciences - you can utilise your skills there as well! What now? What do you choose?

Time's running short - deadlines are coming. Choose, choose, choose.
But which one?
Beggars can't be choosers you say.
Choose anyone which comes to you. It'll be a great starting point in your career.
But that's like saying choose whatever that comes to you whether you have interest in it or not.
But then... without interest, how are you gonna get the job in the first place? Imagine the chinese being brainwashed about having no God except their king, we too try to brainwash ourselves with any job that comes to us that it's good for us, that it's good for our job life ahead, that it will be a good starting point, that it earns you the cash you need.

Is there no break time in which you can just sit down - away from everything and just think what you wanna do in life?

Here's to the break time i need today away from my work load piling up and the applications needed to be filled in.
Here's to the break time i need today away from the chaos from planning my holiday trip which is supposed to be fun but needs to please everyone's needs at the same time.
Here's to the break time i need today just for my lazy ass.

I am so exhausted.
